Two Minute Drill Game
The two minute drill game is the daily NFL play-calling phenomenon: you take over the final minutes of a real football game, call every snap yourself, and find out if you could have finished what the real coach started. One drive a day, the same scenario for everyone, free, and no account needed — the game is embedded above, so you can play right now. Not sure what any of it means? The full how-to-play guide walks through every call type and how scoring works.
Track your streak
The game grades each call, but your day-to-day record lives here in your browser. Beat the real coach's outcome on today's drive, then log it — your streak is a local counter, no account and nothing leaves your device.

How the game works
- A real ending, every day. Each daily scenario is an actual late-game drive from a real game — NFL endings, playoffs included, and legendary college finishes alike — with the real score, clock, timeouts, and personnel on the field.
- You are the coordinator. Choose Run, Pass, RPO or Trick, then the specific play — 27 calls in all — while the clock runs and the situation changes under your feet.
- Graded against reality. Every call shows how it played out versus what really happened, and whether your win probability went up or down. Beat the real coach's outcome and the drive is yours.
- More than the daily drive. Survivor runs, Versus matchups, and pro-vs-your-call ratings give you something to play after you finish the scenario of the day.

Three tips before your first snap
- Count the timeouts before you count the yards. With no timeouts and under two minutes, an incomplete pass costs you a stoppage you cannot buy back — inside runs that stay in bounds keep the clock alive for a team that is behind.
- Know your number. Down by 8 late means a touchdown plus a two-point conversion just ties; going for it on fourth down in plus territory is usually the mathematically correct aggressive call, and the game grades you on exactly that logic.
- Watch how the real coach blew it. The hook of the game is that these endings really happened. After your last snap, compare your sequence to the actual play-by-play — the gap between your calls and reality is where the learning (and the bragging rights) is.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Two Minute Drill game free?
Yes. The game is free to play and does not require an account — you open it, get the drive of the day, and start calling plays. This page embeds the official game so you can play it right here.
What is the Two Minute Drill game?
It is a daily NFL play-calling game. Every day, everyone gets the same real late-game football drive — famous NFL endings plus big college games — with the real score, clock, timeouts, and the 22 players who were on the field. Your job is to call the plays and win the drive that the real coach had to win.
How do you play it?
You pick a play type — Run, Pass, RPO or Trick — and then the specific play: 27 calls in all. After each snap you see how your call did compared to what really happened, and whether it moved your win probability up or down. Pick the right spots to be aggressive and manage the clock and timeouts like a real coordinator.
When does the daily scenario reset?
A new drive is posted every day during the NFL season, and everyone plays the same one that day. Finish today's drive before it rolls over — past scenarios stay available in the game's archive and practice mode.
Do I need to know football to play?
Knowing basic down-and-distance helps, but the game shows you the exact situation — score, clock, timeouts, field position — and grades every call, so new fans learn two-minute situations fast by seeing what each call does to win probability.
Can I play old drives or practice?
Yes. Beyond the daily drive, the game includes practice scenarios and an archive of past endings, so you can replay famous two-minute drills without waiting for tomorrow.
Is this site the official game?
No. This is an unofficial fan site. The Two-Minute Drill game is made by its independent creator and lives at nfl2mindrill.com — we embed it here so you can play without searching for it, and add rules guides, live NFL scores, and a streak tracker around it.
